Aquaculture species like prawns and shrimps are regularly exposed to health problems by diseases, lack of feed acceptance, immunity etc. To combat situations arising out of above problems farmers use various feed additives and medications. Most of the feed additives are in powder form ( eg: probiotics, immuno stimulants, additional nutrient supplements etc. ) which must be “coated” on feed to reach the gut of the prawn / shrimp.
 
As the name implies, Affinity gel is an efficient and better binding agent with attracting powers. Affinity gel protects the feed additives by keeping it intact in water and curbs leaching of additives into water.
Affinity gel ensures the dosage you desire to supply to the aquatic species, which results in the exact performance of the additive.

Clear attraction which reduces feed search time and enchances feeding response.

High water stability in a wide range of pH and salinity. So it enables to maintain water quality also.

Good supplementation along with pelleted feeds to achieve growth promotion, higher efficiency in FCR and prevent stress.

Affinity gel reduces feed wastage with simultaneous increase of feed consumption.
Affinity gel gives stability to certain additives which are unstable in water ( eg: low quality vitamin C ).

It does not act as a medium to support the growth of bacterria or fungi.
 
Dosage:
20 to 30 ml of Affinity gel is recommended per kg of pellet feed or as advised by Aquaculture consultant. Affinity gel is applied on feed pellets along with feed additives, shade dried for few minutes before being broadcasted in the pond.
